ABOUT OUR PROGRAM
The “It’s a HIT!” Training Program is designed to support organizations that recognize the importance of developing the health IT skills of their staff and providers. Health IT competency is vital to the future of your organization – Meaningful Use, Patient Centered Medical Home, UDS and Accountable Care all require your staff to effectively utilize health IT tools. Through a partnership with Dakota State University based in Madison, SD, the Prairie Health IT Network designed a comprehensive training program that boosts staff knowledge of general health IT concepts while providing training on the eClinicalworks EMR system. Students in the program will be prepared to earn a Certified Healthcare Technology Specialist Certification through the American Health Information Management Society.
The Prairie Health IT Network is currently in progress with the 2017 Training Program. To learn more, take a look at our HIT Training Page!
The PHIT Network is currently leading a South Dakota eCW User Workgroup Collaboration of facilities across the state of South Dakota who are utilizing the eClinicalworks software. This group covers all aspects of the system from Patient Care, Billing, Support, and Reporting. If you are interested in participating please email Lacey Finkbeiner, Network Director or Scott Weatherill, CIO to participate.
